BidMyCleaning.com: A Way to Stay Sane with Small Kids in Tow by Wishpot Mom Expert Amber
This company review is provided by Wishpot Mom Expert Amber. Bonus? There’s a special offer for Wishpot users!
Do you really want to know the best way to stay sane while raising your kids and working a full time job?
Short answer: hire a maid.
Now before you roll your eyes and dismiss me because you (A. can’t afford it or (B. are a control freak and would feel like the ultimate slacker having someone else clean your home, just hear what I have to say and then you can make a decision!
How it Works
A few weeks ago, our very own Wishpot Chief Mom Officer (Jessica Smith) introduced me to the Chief Mom Officer of Bidmycleaning.com, Candice Stone. Candice was planning to launch Bidmycleaning.com in my area and Jess thought it would be a good idea if we talked about some of her marketing plans.
Needless to say, after a few short conversations, I realized she had a brilliant service that every mom could benefit from.
Bidmycleaning.com is basically the eBay of cleaning services. You punch in your zip, a little information about the size of your house, how much work you want done and within seconds you have instant bids from local cleaning providers for your job.
If a provider is out of your price range, you can choose another. If you want your windows or carpets cleaned, you can choose a provider who will accommodate that too.
Best of all, the company has made a real commitment encouraging providers to make “green cleaning” products available - which is a major perk for moms who are uncomfortable with the idea of potentially harmful chemicals being used in their home.
Why You Should Give it a Try
Let’s go back to the two objections I listed earlier as to why you would NOT hire a cleaning company. I happen to fall into both categories, considering I just don’t have the money to hire a full time maid, nor would I feel comfortable having someone clean up after me daily (although I’m sure I could get used to it over time!)
But the truth is, I’m tired, I’m a bit overwhelmed—and scrubbing my house has become my absolute last priority (note: I DO clean—I have slacked on bleaching and scrubbing, that is all.). When I finally get around to doing a thorough cleaning, I find myself doing double and triple the amount of work than if I would have kept up on it more often.
So for me, all I would need is a good wipe-down once a month to lighten the load.
With Bidmycleaning.com, I just go online, punch in my information and I instantly receive a local bid for $135 a month. That’s only $34 a week that I would have to set aside to have a sparkling clean house that I could just “maintain” until the next cleaning.
Bottom line, I buy a few less People magazines and I can have my house clean!
Still not convinced? Maybe a discount will help.
Now I’m talking to the mom with the bags under her eyes, the dirty hair and that cup of Starbucks glued to her hand:
Take a break already and get your house cleaned! Even if it’s only one time, you will sleep so much better just knowing that it’s done!
If that’s not enough for you, the wonderful folks at Bidmycleaning.com are offering $10 off to all Wishpot.com members for the month of September. Just enter coupon code WPWPHILAT during the checkout process and you’re good to go.
Really, I promise though- at the end of the day, it’s money well spent. Just think of the extra time that you can spend with your kids instead of cleaning toilets! So take advantage of the discount and check out Bidmycleaning.com for your housekeeping, carpet cleaning and window cleaning needs.
