Still Rockin’ the Maternity Clothes? Wishpot Baby Quick Question Thursday

Today’s question got a lot of different answers, I was happy to find out I was not alone in still wearing my maternity underpants from time to time (they’re so comfy, really!)

Here’s the question I asked our Wishpot Baby Experts:

Is there any piece of maternity clothing that you still secretly wear?  Why?

Well it’s no secret anymore!  Our Wishpot Baby Experts were happy to share! Want to check out our Wishpot Baby Experts’ profiles, blogs, and more?  Check them out here.

No, there isn’t one that I still wear. Although I wish that I could wear it.
(It is the only thing I held on to.) And 4 years later I wish that I could
wear that cute little dress again and again. Instead I am sure it will hang
in my closet until he is 42 years old. I mean it has already hung in there
for almost 5 years, so why let go of it NOW? - Mom Expert Faith

Yes, maternity jeans.  - Anonymous :)

I had one really luxurious, Asian-floral-print silk blouse from Mimi Maternity that I wore for years after each baby was born.  I simply tucked it into trousers or jeans with a belt and the tell-tale maternity tent shape was eliminated.  I would still wear it today, but after 2 pregnancies and 4 years of dry cleaning, it was time for retirement.  -Mom Expert Jessica

I got the most comfy maternity tank tops from the gap when I was
pregnant with my first baby.  I continued to wear them after he was
born and now that I am pregnant again, I STILL wear them!  They are so
soft and stretchy I was never able to give them up (and probably never
will!). - Mom Expert Jen

Well I’m in maternity as we speak, today is my due date, does that count?
lol :) - Mom Expert Lisa

Well, most of my maternity tops are non-maternity since the style has been flowey tops, I’ve taken advantage of the trend.  It kills me to buy strictly maternity clothing since i know they will worn for such a short period of time. - Mom Expert Courtney

My nighttime nursing bra. Haven’t nursed in weeks, but it’s so comfortable…. - Mom Expert Jessica

LOL.  This is too funny!  Yes, I have these two pairs of black maternity pants that I wear ALL THE TIME.  And, my youngest is 5 years old.  I wear them because they are so comfortable and they still look great.  They look better than sweatpants and serve the same purpose. -Mom Expert Alexis

I will be wearing my maternity coat again this winter. It is not obviously maternity and I like the extra room for a heavy sweater!  - Mom Expert Stephanie

I wear a black maternity tank with a nifty cool silver design on the front.
It still fits me so well, hiding the post-prego gut and it doesn’t look like
a maternity shirt at all! - Mom Expert Dana

I still wear a maternity t-shirt with "Got Twins?" on it. One, it’s comfy, and two, it’s just funny. I think people do a double take between me and the stroller to figure out if I’m referring to those twins or another set, but I don’t care. - Mom Expert Kelby

I wore some of my maternity sweaters and shirts for a few years after my son was born. I finally broke down and packed up all my maternity clothes and gave them to Goodwill. We’re not planning on having more and keeping those big clothes around just gave me an excuse to fit into them. - Mom Expert Sandie

yeah. i wear some of the underwear…when all my other underwear is dirty. yup. hubby has the christmas boxers.  i have the maternity panties. -Mom Expert Wendy

I still wear a comfy pair of maternity yoga pants that, until I recently lost 30 lbs, still fit well!  Now, not so much.  They’ll be retired soon! - Mom Expert Sherry

My maternity underwear- to bed they are so comfie:) -Mom Expert Susan

No!  Actually, it was the other way around.  I was so determined to
get rid of anything that said "maternity" that I didn’t even go home
from the Hospital in Maternity clothes.  Though I have to admit that
some of them were really cute…. - Mom Expert Erika

I have a v-neck t-shirt that was small to begin with and I wear it to work
out.  Other than that EVERYTHING is long gone!  Thank GOD! - Mom Expert Jill

Yes! The tankini top to my maternity swimsuit. I have yet to go swimsuit shopping since having kids and the tankini has a cool bandana print, doesn’t look maternity and I feel comfortable in it! I do keep telling myself to get a new suit, just haven’t done it yet!
-Mom Expert Amber

Absolutely - I still wear an Old Navy miniskirt with the most comfortable waistband.  Thankfully it’s a size small - but it’s still maternity! - Mom Expert Tsh

Oh thank God no! I did wear my nursing bra for a bit after I stopped breastfeeding, just cause it was so comfortable. Same with a few of my cargo pants and capris. The elastic band is so comfy! But, now that my daughter is almost 3, I’ve let it all go. :)
-Mom Expert Melanie

Absolutely not. After having three kids within three years, I was happy to move on to new clothes.

  1. My youngest is three, but I have two nursing tops that are so cute (and not huge or obviously for nursing!) that I still wear.

  2. Not me! I haven’t been pregnant in 20 years, but trying on anything that has a print similar to one I wore while pregnant instantly reminds me of the 9 months of morning sickness! Also anything with an umpire waist is a no-go.

  3. I hated the way I looked pregnant and those clothes were just an ugly reminder. I enjoyed donating them :)

  4. Specially designed maternity panties should be considered rather than going for normal ones during pregnancy days. It gives a lot of comfort.
