I get downright
giddy when I discover a unique gift that is made by a mom or sold by
a mom-owned business. As a work at home mom, I know how hard moms
work to forge a living. I know just how smart and creative and clever
we are and have to be to make a living. I know any mom-made gift
features something you won’t find at a sales rack at a major
chain store: a mom’s love and creativity.

I have to confess, I
still do my share of holiday shopping at the malls, Wal-Marts and
Targets. But whenever possible, I love to buy mom-made gifts and,
preferably, by them directly from the mom who made them.

What constantly
amazes me is just how many killer, beautiful, creative and unique
gifts you can find. Best of all, many times these gifts are
reasonably priced or even cheaper than gifts you might find at the
mall. For example, I have found countless mom-made items at Etsy in
the $20 and under or even $10 and under category.

One of my favorites
is the Global
Goodie line of t-shirts and onesies. For $15, buy that
little foodie in training a super cute food/kid related shirt. The
shirts take popular haute cuisines and translate them into something
a child will enjoy. Here is the Escargot:

And how funky-cute
is this Circle
of Family necklace from the Design
by Simag Etsy shop? It costs $49 and is customized
with the names of a mom’s children. This is definitely on my
wish list this year!

I personally have a
kindergartener who is just now learning to write properly. She loves
writing her name, and I’m sure she would dig “signing”
things with this clever mom-made creation: the signature
stamp from Little
Stamp.

You can even find
mom-made versions of the popular children’s holiday outfit.
This Holiday

and Tee is just adorable, and you can buy it for
babies up to size 12, for girls or boys, and with the child’s
