It’s Not A Trendy Thing…

…It’s A Classic Thing!

I believe in wearing things that fit my style - not everyone else’s.  My style changes from time to time, but overall the theme of my closet stays the same.  I wear what I love.  What I feel good in.

Jeans.  Black shirts.  An occasional couple of pieces with color.  Mostly solids.  A handful of my favorite shoes.  Mainly high heels because that’s my favorite thing to wear, however lately I’ve learned to enjoy the comfort of flats too.  Yep - that’s me in a nutshell!

I’ve never been a girly girl.  I don’t spend a lot of money on clothes..  Or shoes (don’t get me wrong - I LOVE LOVE LOVE shoes!).  I do enjoy shopping from time to time, but when I do shop, I like to stick with the classics instead of what’s trendy…because then my wardrobe lasts longer, and so does our money!

If you’re looking for some inspiration for affordable summer style, take a look at the outfits I created above!  These are outfits similar to what I wear, or what I would personally shop for myself.  What’s your favorite outfit?  I love them all, but #3 might be my personal favorite!

Go from casual to dressy just by adding something trendy yet classic - pearls!  My friend Anne over at Perfect Bound recently shared how long, multiple strands of pearls are hot right now - leaving you on top of the trend factor.  Pearls are just so feminine looking, I love them!

Don’t worry about owning hundreds of outfits.  If you’re on a tight budget, stick with a favorite pair of jeans that you can wear over and over again, a classic pair of black peep-toe pumps or sandals that go with any outfit, and a few solid tops.
