I found this dress over at Forever 21 and fell in love! I love the organza detail around the neck- so romantic. It’s available in two colors : blck/white and cream/ wine- so go with whatever suits you palette.

To toughen up the look pair it with a pair of booties, I’m still obssessing over the look this pair by Moschino and a big chunky coktail ring.

Alternatively you could keep it soft and delicate by pairing the look with the colored ballet flats. I love this pair over at Urban Outfitters

Replicate the look by misting a little Chloe- its fresh smell is oh so romantic.

Men’s Fall Fashion No comments yet

Slim, neat casual luxury is the men’s fashion look this season. The quickest way to achieve this handsome look: acquire a slim fitted vest.

The vest has been a classic staple for the men’s wardrobe for decades now. If you have never invested in the look before , now would be the perfect time to create a wishlist and let your loved one’s know that you need one. It has been in the foreground of men’s fashion for the past few years and is not fading away any time soon.

I found this look at Brooks Brothers. Stylish laid back! I love that this look can work for casual Friday at the office, or a dressy casual day. Skip the tie for a even more uber casual.

For the rainy days, wear a jacket over the vest as seen here , courtesy of Banana Republic. The first look here is universally flattering and simple to pull off- Trousers/Pants, Shirt and your preffered vest over the shirt. Add some individuality but using a vest of a color.

Bonjour Wishpot users! Isn’t it amazing that there is a place where we can ORGANIZE our wishes and wants!? I’ve always been the girl walking around with wish lists, magazine clippings and catalog tear outs of the things I want, so imagine my overwhelming joy when I found out there was a site where I could keep track of all the lovelies I’m dying to add to my wardrobe.

I’m big on the 1950’s in both wardrobe and home décor. It just seems to fit my personality. We’ve all been getting a healthy dose of the look from out favorite Mad Men heroine, Betty Draper. If you are curious on how to find this sort of look, whether it’s the true vintage pieces or modern interpretations, here are a few items and sites that might suit your fancy.

I’ve found that Etsy is a pretty good place for true vintage pieces such as these:

If you are not a big fan of 50 year old clothes, you can either keep your eyes out in your regular stores for ‘50s silhouette’s or head over to ModCloth, where vintage inspired pieces are in abundance. Like this:

The ‘50’s silhouette is almost universally flattering, which explains it’s longevity in the fashion world. Take it from me, a boyish figured type, a small waisted dress and a full skirt works wonders for a girl!

Also almost as universally flattering is the pencil skirt. Pencil skirts aren’t just for those who have to wear suits everyday either. Finding a pencil skirt in cotton, wool or any colorful material can spice up your wardrobe and add some sex appeal to a boring office outfit! A skirt like this one from J.Crew would work wonders for you, and can be found at a multitude of price ranges!

Take it from me, they called them the “Fabulous 50’s” for a reason!

Thank you Kramey!

Wishpot featured on Lifehacker and Red Ferret! One Wishpot Wish list to cover them all No comments yet

Today Wishpot was covered on both Lifehacker and Red Ferret! We are thrilled that others like what Wishpot offers!

Here is an excerpt from Lifehacker…Lifehacker compares a Wishpot wish list to an Amazon wish list. What really sells Wishpot is its  "Add to Wishpot" bookmarklet and browser add-ons, its SMS functionality, and, most of all, its ability to alert you whenever there’s a price drop on any of your wish list items at a long list of merchants that Wishpot monitors. That way, if you’ve got a someday/maybe item on your list that’s just too pricey right now, but you see it suddenly drop 20 percent, you can choose to fulfill your own wish. Wishpot is free to use, requires a sign-up or Facebook Connect access to save and share lists. To see the full article on Lifehacker click here

Here is an excerpt from Red Ferret…We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. There are at least as many wish list services out there as there are shopping sites. What makes Wishpot different is that they not only provide a single consolidated location for your entire wish list from Amazon to Zappos, they also will let you know when one of the merchants on their list has the item you want on sale. You can add stuff from any website via the IE Toolbar or Firefox plugin. And if you’re strapped for ideas you can also see what other people are adding to their wish lists. To see the full post on Red Ferret click here

And Wishpot has other features too!~

you can request cash, vintage items, set up honeymoon funds and let friends and family share the cost of a single item (through paypal)

We make it easy to share your wish list or registry too with the share URL link to the left of your list. You can share your wish list with our widgets, our wishpot facebook app, our badges and more. You can also Tweet items you add to your wish list or registry!

Plus If one of your friends creates a wish list and you are one of their Wishpot friends you can get them something from their wish list and choose to keep it a secret … so you don’t spoil that bday present surprise. But you have to be friends on Wishpot and it only works for wish lists.

Follow us on Twitter @wishpot @gift_girl and fan us on facebook we are always happy to help. Thank you for all of your support!
