One of the most popular toys of the 1980s was the Rubik’s Cube. When this toy was released it took America by storm. It wasn’t long before there were worldwide contests being held to see who could complete the puzzle in the fastest time. Rubik’s Cube mania was intense and lasted many years. I remember when I was a kid I couldn’t figure out how to solve the puzzle, so I resorted to peeling off the stickers and re-sticking them so it looked like I solved it.

On November 15, 2009 Nintendo will be releasing New Super Mario Brothers for Nintendo Wii. This is the perfect game to add to that holiday wish list for all Wii console owners or those who are planning on purchasing one soon. New Super Mario Brothers will be taking aspects from the previous versions and updating it to work with the Nintendo Wii and its interactive gaming platform. The game will employ the same side scrolling game play from the original Mario series and will add new features such as a new propeller suit which will work specifically with Wii’s motion-sensing remote. The game allows you to play with up to four people at a time, and will bring back such popular characters as Luigi, Toad, Yoshi, and even those annoying Koopalings.
This game has tons of buzz surrounding it, and has been predicted to the best selling game of the holiday season. At the present moment there will be no accessories or special gadgets made specifically for the game, but they could be released in the future.
