10 Facebook Tips for Imagekind Users
Hello all Imagekind users! Ever have trouble increasing your number of fans or followers? Here are 10 helpful tips to improve your Facebook fan page and engagement of your users!
1. Market yourself!
Include links on all of your sites and accounts. Each and every site should be linked to one another. For instance, your email signature should include a link to your Facebook page, Twitter account, blog, Imagekind profile, etc. and your blog should include all of these links as well as an email address for users to contact you. This makes it simple for fans to interact with you in as many places as possible!
2. Be creative with new features
People love any sort of contest or list of favorites. Both allow viewers to not only view your work, but to engage with it. Creating a contest for fans to submit their own photos will encourage them to interact more with your page. Developing a “Favorite ______ of the Week” or “Top 10 Photos” really defines your style and brings attention to your best work.
3. User beneficial promotional materials
Incorporaing a promo code, coupon, or discount for pressing the “like” button, friend requesting, sharing with friends, or becoming a fan of the page is a great idea. It provides incentive for Facebook users to become fans of your page or for current fans to suggest new ones.
4. Share useful, interesting material
Incorporate interesting material for fans aside from product updates. For example, photo albums can include behind-the-scene photos of you working or your page can include a section of things that inspire your work. Give fans a more in-depth look into your art.
5. Effectively use the status updates
Include engaging and interesting status updates on your page. Ask questions and for opinions of your followers. Updating your status is a great way to start a new conversation and including questions encourages engagement.
6. Don’t let users land on your wall tab
It is not the best idea to have users land on your wall tab because you have no immediate control over the content displayed on your wall. Custom tabs are available, which can send users to a “Welcome!” page or a bio page instead of a standard wall page. This you can customize to show your style, work, and inspirations.
7. Create a unique page image
It needs to be easy to navigate and attractive with a simple, yet well-executed, design. You are a talented artist and your page should show that! Make it pretty and representative of your skills as an artist. Facebook users are more inclined to engage with an attractive and simple page rather than one that is cluttered and poorly designed.
8. Join the conversation & update regularly!
Every time someone comments on anything (photo comment, wall post, etc.), reply back to them. No one likes to talk to themselves! This will also keep the conversation flowing and will encourage other fans to join in.
9. Link to other social network profiles
Include a link to your Twitter account, Flickr page or your blog. These are a great ways to give them a real insight into your work and to develop loyal fans. Including a live Twitter feed on your Facebook page will also help to increase followers.
10. Create an event
This doesn’t have to be an in-person event, but it gives followers a consistent reminder when they sign in of something going on. Could be an upcoming sale on your items or new images coming soon. Whatever it may be, give something for fans to look forward so they continue to check your page!
