About Us
What is Wishpot?
Founded in 2006, Wishpot is a free online wish list service that makes it easy for members to shop anywhere, save their finds in one central place, and share their finds with friends and family. With Wishpot, users can create multiple lists, request cash gifts, get notifications when list items drop in price, and enable multiple guests to share the cost of a single item. Great for wedding and baby registries or just making your own wish list!
How does Wishpot Work?
Wishpot with the Wishpot Button (a tiny button in your toolbar) lets you add items to your lists from anywhere on the web. You can share your lists with friends and family. When someone goes to buy an item from your list they are first asked to reserve the item, so you don’t get duplicates. Once an item is reserved it appears differently on your list and friends and family are redirected to the retailer for the transaction.
Surprise Feature
When you share a wish list URL (located to the left of the wish list) Friends and family will have the option of keeping the reserve a surprise.
Social Media
Wishpot has a Facebook app and widgets for you to share your picks on social media sites. When you add items to your lists you have the option to tweet them. Wishpot also has a social syndication program for merchants.
With more than a million monthly pageviews, Wishpot is a prolific social shopping network. It won Mashables Bloggers Choice Award in 2008 for best social shopping site. Wishpot has areas dedicated to weddings, moms, fashionistas, handmade and indie artists, gadget lovers and shopping fiends. Wishpot is home to over 500 experts, top wedding, mom, fashion and handmade bloggers who endorse Wishpot as the wish list and registry service of choice. Our audience includes bloggers, Twitter and Facebook users, brands, and social media enthusiasts.
