Today we are sending an update to our beloved alpha users announcing some new features that are now live on Wishpot.

·         Now you can search for the best deals on millions of products including great top brands from thousands of stores right on Wishpot.com

·         The Wishpot Toolbar powered by Google for Internet Explorer and Firefox makes it super easy to add items to your wish list and keep up to date on Wishpot happenings

·         New blogs from Wishpot. Our Gifts & Stuff Blog share fun ideas about gifts and other random stuff. Our Wishpot Blog lets you know the latest goings on at Wishpot.

·         If you have a blog you can now add you can broadcast your wishlist using the new “blog friendly” Wishpot widget.  This is in addition to our other, slightly larger Wishpot Widget. This blog friendly widget works great in right or left hand columns of blogs.

·         Now it is MUCH easier to invite your friends. You can import contacts directly from popular email programs like Outlook, Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL, and Plaxo. Because we want to spread the love we will offer a $25 Visa Gift Card to the person who adds the most new friends by February 9th.

In the next few days we’ll cover in more details some of these new features.

A list just for your special one(s)… No comments yet

With Wishpot is that you can share items just with a subset of your friends.  For example I could share expensive stuff only with my friends, but not with everyone else.

Valentine is around the corner and in three easy steps you can use this feature to share special things just with your special one(s)!

#1 Create a "new group".  Go to your "My Wishpot" -> "Friends" and on the lower right handside create a new group (for example "special someone").

#2 Add the people that you want to your newly created group.  Click the "edit" link next to your group, select who will belong to the group, and click "save".  Your group is now ready.

#3 When you add or edit an item you can change who can see the item.  At the bottom of the add\edit form just select the right group and click "save".

That’s it!  From now on only your friends in the "special someone" group will be able to see this item.
