Wishpot delivers a baby shopping space with a social twist

Today we announced the availability of Wishpot Baby!

Here’s the official press release:

Wishpot - the popular online social shopping community announces the launch of Wishpot Baby – Wishpot offers parents the ability to shop anywhere, maintain one shopping space and, with the help of experienced and savvy Mom Experts simplify what many parents consider the most challenging task: shopping for their children. “Wishpot removes the uncertainty around choosing the safest and best products for baby. We do this by making it easy, to shop at any baby store, to get feedback and recommendations, and to keep everything you need for baby in one place!” explains Max Ciccotosto, CEO of Wishpot.

Wishpot is committed to helping parents find the right product for baby. “Wishpot mom experts offer expecting moms inspiration and advice as they prepare for their little one’s arrival, making the experience truly interactive, informative, and fun! Wishpot Baby provides parents with more options than ever before." says Jessica Smith who recently joined Wishpot as Chief Mom officer.

Some Wishpot mom experts are well known bloggers like Kelby Carr (publisher of Type-A Mom, Foodie Mama, and momShare and writer for About.com), Katja Presnal (President of Skimbaco and Founder of Ladybug Landings), and up and coming blogger Jessica Rosenberg (publisher of The Lemonade Stand).

Wishpot is also partnering with TotSpot. TotSpot is a safe and easy way for parents to share pictures and videos of their children. It’s a place to tell your kid’s story. Michael Brouhkim, Totspot Co-Founder says,
“We are very excited about the innovation Wishpot is bringing to the social shopping space and the endless possibilities that exist for bringing more value to our parents through their service."
Wishpot baby is a place for parents to get great advice from mom experts, create easy to use baby registries that let you add items from anywhere, see what other moms are shopping for, and easily share all your baby needs with friends and family.

Here’re a few quotes from our experts:

“We love that you can create one central wish list instead of bouncing from site to site. The ability to find like-minded people and see what they recommend or wish for is even more helpful. It’s like a virtual method of asking your friend what he or she bought for her baby, or put on her registry.” Kelby Carr (publisher of Type-A Mom, Foodie Mama, and momShare and writer for About.com) & Mike Carr of Dadosphere

“It’s like having a bunch of moms holding out their hands to help figure out what’s worth it (and what’s not!). I am happy to offer my own lists to make recommendations for all the moms-to-be so they can learn from my experience, and I look to moms of toddlers to help me make smart purchases for my son as he grows." Mom Expert, Sarah LaLiberte of Spunky Mommy

“I just started using Wishpot and I am already hooked!” Katja Presnal (President of Skimbaco and Founder of Ladybug Landings) exclaims,
